Born Into Bondage…
For generations, families in Pakistan’s brick kilns have lived under crushing debt that can pass from parents to children. Some were born into this bondage because of debts incurred before they were born. Without intervention, many may spend their entire lives working under the same burden, with their children facing the same future.
Scripture gives us a picture of people trapped beneath generations of forced labor. Israel lived in Egyptian bondage until God heard their cry:
“And the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.”
(Exodus 2:23, KJV)

You Can Change a Family’s Future…
Each family shown below has a specific debt standing between them and freedom. Your donation helps provide the funds needed to satisfy that debt through our liberation effort, so a family can leave the bondage that has controlled their lives.
Consider what that means. A father who expected to die in bondage can walk away free. A mother can see a future beyond the brick kiln. Children who were born beneath the burden of their parents’ debt can have the opportunity to grow up outside the system that held their family.
For a family without the means to free themselves, your gift can become the answer they never believed would come.

Break a Generational Chain…
When God delivered Israel from Egypt, freedom ended a bondage that one generation could not escape by its own strength.
“I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage.”
(Exodus 6:6, KJV)
With 4.5 million people living in indentured bondage in Pakistan, every family represented here has a name, a history, and a specific amount standing between them and freedom. Many have labored beneath debts they could never repay, with the burden passing from one generation to the next. We do not have the resources to free them all, but together, we can certainly free just one more.
How will the money be spent...
We have trusted families on the ground in Pakistan who will oversee each family’s transition from bondage to freedom. Donations will first be used to satisfy the family’s indentured debt and secure their release. We will then provide housing and food for three months while the family adjusts to life outside the brick kiln. To help establish a source of income, we will purchase a rickshaw for the husband and a sewing machine for the wife, giving the family practical means to become self-supporting.
The Freedom Project…
is an opportunity to show the love of Christ to Christian brothers and sisters in need and to live out Christian charity in a tangible way. But consider this project from their perspective. Imagine being born into bondage, knowing that you will likely die there, while your children inherit the same burden. Then, from the other side of the world, people you have never met see your affliction, satisfy the debt that holds your family, and open the door to freedom. To that family, this is more than assistance. It is a miracle they had no power to make happen themselves.
